...most of ya'll know my fam, we eat...its what we do, meals are not a necessary part of life, they are the events in life that everything else gets organized around...the Thanksgiving meal started at about 1 in the afternoon and ended at about 10pm after we had pounded anything that could have been saved and each of the men ate their own pie...their own whole pie...it was wonderful, we loved those times, and i deeply miss those times, i remember when i was about 12...my family really isn't concerned about the whole don't let different foods touch, soi watched my uncle and dad pile everything into a lil mountain, i followed suit, my cousin nicholas, he was about 6 or 7 at the time was next to my dad and stared wide-eyed at my dad's mountain, my dad pointed at nick's plate and nick slowly wrapped his arms around his own plate in an effort to protect the food he had from the likes of us...classic...
...problem is i've picked up bad eating habits that combined with my Mucci DNA, has left me with the typical Mucci physique...although i'm not sure how my brother escaped...bum got Mom's dna...at any rate, college was a time for me when the weight room began to really work for me and i really loved lifting, so i got big, stronger, and hungrier...even now as i start to get back in the gym to try and get in shape, i do more lifting than running (i can't run w/o a ball involved)...and i get hungry, so instead of eating less, i eat more...even if it's healthier...
i did this video program back before we got married that had me back down to about 210 by our wedding, i had dropped 25-30 lbs. in 5 months...of course, once the wedding happened, the video went back in its case...i've thought about doin it again to see if it could help, and its also been suggested i start weight watchers...my doctor suggests i just run, my first visit with him after the move resulted in his informing me that i was fat and needed to lose weight...somethin tells me he didn't receive the best bed-side manners award in med-school...so, here's my requestin a lil accountability and thoughts on weight watchers...anyone know anyone who's used it and has success...and was a male? i know a lot of ladies who have used weight watchers, but our physiological makeups are different, so i could use some male success stories before i think about committing money to it...
i've got the whole parenting thing comin, a reunion this july (although i need more of a lifestyle change than a time-frame goal)...anyway, i've got goals, lifting and weight goals and hopefully i can get inspired and make some things happen...here's to benchin 300 again and weighin around 200 and droppin my body fat percentage about 1,000%...

You can do it baby:)
Before I found out I was pregnant with Caleb, I did Weight Watchers, and Jon did it with me (I paid, and he, too, benefited from all the material and everything). It worked really well for him, too. I really like their program - it teaches you HOW to eat responsibly, rather than cutting out cards, or fat...teaches portion control. I know that's Jon's biggest issue, and this worked really well for him, being able to track his food intake and points for awhile.
Good luck, to you! Before kids is the best time to do it...not having to make kid friendly food, etc. You can DO IT!! :)
Grant's dad did WW - it worked for him. I think the best thing for him was learning portion control and what things to eat and things to stay away from.
