sunday's sermon

so i wanted to follow up on my last post...first...this heroes thing is drivin me crazy...now that i'm trying to move things with my mind i think it just might be time to skip a few nights of watching episodes trying to catch up...geez...

sunday morning was a great morning...there were two professors from seminary there for different reasons, so it was great to hear their input afterwards.  i spent some time in a passage that is challenging me on so many levels, making me so aware of my own lack of love for some people, and my struggles to to know the depths of the love Christ has for me; i am constantly learning of it, constantly becoming more aware of how precious God sees me...and i think i can fully be satisfied in that, it will remain difficult to love like the Samaritan.  This passage has produced so much learning for me each time I read it, there are about 3-4 different sermons that could be preached concerning racism, hate, what love is and looks like, arrogance...all kinds of things, i wish i could have had 2 hrs for real...alright, not really, i can't talk for 2 hours, i'd get bored of hearing my own voice...anyway, do what i was told is necessary to really be able to preach a passage...open to Luke 10 and live, really live in the passage for a while...it's great!!

anyway, i could ramble on and on about things i've rambled before, but rather than being overdramatic, i wanted to post a link to the the sermon.  Portland First Church uploads them to their web-site, so if you are interested, i figured i'd post it...here it is...
