you do the hokey pokey and you...thats what its all about...

it's about God...it's about people...it's about God & people and people & people. That's all its ever been about. (you know, that whole "all the law & prophets hang on these 2 commandments...love God...love your neighbor. i'm beginning to think Jesus wasn't kidding).

the 2 questions we should ask ourselves everyday are, how did i love God today? and how did i love my neighbor today? and then how can I love God better tomorrow? and how can I love my neighbor better tomorrow? alright, so that's four questions...gimme a break...not like i was a math major or anyth...uh, scratch that...

yet, all these questions come with an assumption that we rightly know God and that we rightly understand how God would have us love God and our neighbor...these assumptions are the difference between witnessing to the real and true kingdom of god or witnessing to some insufficient generic kingdom of our own making.

Jesus describes how to love our neighbor in Luke 10 using a 'dirty' samaritan as a sort of measuring stick...what can we pull from there? what can we learn from this parable?

Jesus also showed us how we are to love God, through his life, teachings, and lessons throughout the gospels. what does He show? how do we love God? what can we pull from Jesus?

oh, and these aren't my usual rhetorical questions where you read, say, hmm...and click on the espn.com or facebook tab...i'm really curious...let's get something going here...how do you answer those questions...
