gettin started...

We've been here for a little over 2 weeks and I thought I'd make this little blog thing for those interested in what we are doing...near and far. So far we've met most of our neighbors, had 2 of them over for a bbq and one over for a Bible Study. It's been fun gettin adjusted to Portland. We are real close to this place called New Columbia where we are hoping to spend lots of time getting to know people and building relationships.

I've been reminded over the last week to rely on the Holy Spirit to provide direction and guidance as we seek to live out the Kingdom in our little corner of Portland. I'm meeting with another Church Planter this week, as well as the director of a potential neighbor, Portland Hope Meadows (check out their website).

Most of these posts will be about updates to our lives, as well as rants about theology and culture, and what Kenosis is up to. I'm lookin forward to being about to write about what God is doing in North Portland, and I'm blessed to be a part of it.
